What you need with you race morning:
Bottle of water, heavy in electrolytes to sip on throughout the morning.
Pre-race Fuel (more if you have a later start time) – Can be in another bottle – liquid calories like UCAN, Tailwind, etc. Plus, a gel taken with water 15 min before the start of your race.
If you don’t have anyone to hand off your water bottle to, have a throw away bottle that you can toss at the race start.
Chafe cream – put on neck, under arms (any part of body that may be rubbed by wetsuit or clothing
Sunscreen
Swim
2 Pairs of Goggles – Light lens and/or dark lens for race morning sun.
Baby shampoo and water in a small bottle to rinse out goggles before the start. You can also use Foggle wipes.
Swim cap
Wetsuit or swim skin over your tri suit (pending water temp)
